TOEIC Bridge Test Administration and Scoring
Where is the TOEIC Bridge test administered?
The TOEIC Bridge test is administered at high schools, colleges, universities, immigrant agencies and corporations. These organizations test their own students, clients and employees. Staff members at organizations are trained and certified to administer the test. In Canada, the tests are returned to ETS Canada for scoring.
TOEIC Bridge tests are not currently offered to the general public in Canada as "Open Tests".
How is the TOEIC Bridge test scored?
Scores are determined by the number of questions answered correctly. The number of correct responses in each section, Listening and Reading, will be converted to a scaled score. Adding the Listening and Reading scores together gives a total TOEIC Bridge scaled score. There is no penalty for wrong answers - so candidates should therefore guess if they are not sure.
Diagnostic information, in the form of a rating of "1", "2" or "3" will be given for the following five areas: Functions, Listening Skills, Grammar, Vocabulary and Reading Skills. This information will be in the form of general feedback.
How long does it take to receive the results?
For organizations using the TOEIC Bridge Test as a placement tool, scores can be provided the next day.
It’s a simple three-step process:
- Administer the test and courier the answer sheets to ETS Canada.
- We score the tests immediately and fax or email the results to you.
- You place students in the appropriate class. With our rapid scoring, you are able to place students the day after they have taken the test.
