ETS Canada provides assessments to schools, colleges, universities and private institutes, as well as individual students. Assessment for Learning

Working in collaboration with the ETS Assessment Training Institute (ATI), ETS Canada is committed to assisting K-12 educators to improve student achievement by integrating student-involved classroom assessment with day-to-day instruction.  Twenty years of research prove that the principles of assessment for learning increase student confidence, desire to learn, and academic performance, especially with under-performing students.  Using the ATI learning team model of professional development, teachers quickly learn to assess accurately and use the results to promote even further learning.

ATI offers educators a comprehensive professional development program that can be implemented at any grade in any subject at the classroom, school, district or provincial level.  The ATI learning model of professional development is flexible, job-embedded, on-site and cost effective.  Its hands-on-practice allows teachers and administrators to learn to manage the development of their own assessment knowledge and skills.  Together, they learn how to make assessment an integral part of teaching and their students’ learning experience.  Learning teams can accommodate differences in teachers’ styles and rates of learning and are more likely to foster and sustain improved classroom practice.

ETS Canada provides a suite of professional development books and DVDs in classroom assessment for learning.
