TOEIC Bridge

TOEIC Bridge is an English-proficiency test designed for programs with beginning and intermediate learners. It measures emerging competence for learners age 14 and up, who use English in everyday life.

Bridge is suitable for:

What is the format of the TOEIC Bridge test?

The TOEIC Bridge test is a multiple-choice test that consists of 100 questions divided into two sections. The test takes approximately one hour to complete.

The Sections are:

• Listening Section: There are 50 listening comprehension questions administered by audiocassette. There are three types of questions. Candidates will hear a variety of statements, questions, short conversations, and short talks recorded in English, and then candidates will answer the questions. Total time: approximately 25 minutes. » see examples
• Reading Section: There are 50 reading questions, consisting of two types of questions. Examinees will read a variety of materials and respond at their own pace to questions based on the content of the materials. Total time: 35 minutes. » see examples

Examinees will respond to test questions by gridding one of the letters (A), (B), (C) or (D) with a pencil on a separate answer sheet. Although the actual testing time is approximately one hour, test takers will need additional time to complete the background questions on the answer sheet.
